The Masculine Aesthetic
Plastic surgery and men go way back. Long before the advent of modern surgical techniques, historical texts show attempts to surgically alter the male form to eliminate body fat before the year 100 A.D. Gynecomastia surgery (the removal of enlarged breasts in males) dates back to the 7th century, as a way to relieve “social discomfort.” Today, McGee Plastic Surgery continues this centuries-old tradition by delivering male plastic surgery in Lafayette, LA.
Our male plastic surgery procedures use modern tools and tech, coupled with deliberate modifications to create results that better fit the male aesthetic. Schedule your consultation with double board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Catherine McGee, MD, FACS today to learn more about the many different procedures we offer that are tailored to help you meet your aesthetic goals.
Enter Your Golden Age
McGee Plastic Surgery offers facelifts as a way to help men reduce the visible signs of aging along the face and neck, typically by a decade or more. Using a tailored surgical method that carefully hides incisions to reduce visible scarring, our facelift for men can reduce wrinkles and sagging skin while creating a stronger, more masculine line along the jaw and chin.
The Look
Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) is a procedure that can revive your facial appearance by getting rid of extra skin and smoothing underlying tissues along the upper or lower eyelid. For men, this procedure produces results that make the eyes appear more vibrant and alert, creating an appearance that conveys vigor and strength. At McGee Plastic Surgery, we specialize in delivering treatments like blepharoplasty for men to reinvigorate your look while preserving the features that make you uniquely you.
Smooth Is In
The brow and forehead are one of the most noticeable areas of male facial aging, even though they tend to be overlooked. But after a brow lift in Lafayette, LA, at McGee Plastic Surgery, you will notice the difference in the deep creases between the eyes and along the forehead. Male brow lifts require precision and careful planning so that the results look natural and masculine. Schedule a consultation today to learn how we can elevate your look.
The Confidence of Contour
Plastic surgery for men has a long history, dating back to ancient times when early surgical techniques were used to remove excess body fat. Gynecomastia surgery—the reduction of enlarged male breast tissue—has been performed since the 7th century to address both physical and social concerns. Today, McGee Plastic Surgery continues this tradition, offering specialized male plastic surgery in Lafayette, LA.
Gynecomastia is a condition that leads to the enlargement of male breast tissue, which can develop at any age due to hormonal imbalances, genetics, obesity, or certain medications. This condition is often marked by excess fat accumulation, the development of glandular tissue, and, in some cases, excess skin. It may affect one breast (unilateral) or both (bilateral), contributing to physical discomfort and a lack of self-confidence. Many men with gynecomastia feel self-conscious about their appearance, sometimes avoiding activities or social situations to conceal their condition.
Gynecomastia surgery, also known as reduction mammaplasty, is a procedure designed to flatten and reshape the chest for a more masculine contour. In some cases, it also involves repositioning or resizing the areola and removing excess skin for a more sculpted and natural look.
At McGee Plastic Surgery, we utilize advanced techniques and technology to achieve results that complement the male aesthetic. Schedule a consultation with double board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Catherine McGee, MD, FACS, to explore your options and take the next step toward restoring confidence in your appearance.
A Touch of Toned
Liposuction is not a weight loss treatment and is not for men who want to lose a lot of weight. The procedure is much more nuanced than that. Liposuction works to augment existing nutrition and exercise work by getting rid of stubborn body fat that seems resistant to other solutions. At McGee Plastic Surgery in Lafayette men's liposuction options are offered to remove stubborn fat in a way that looks natural and augments your frame for a more masculine result.
Sculpted Confidence
When plastic surgeons talk about body contouring, they’re usually talking about skin: specifically, skin laxity, or loss of elasticity, which can be especially problematic following significant weight loss. At McGee Plastic Surgery in Lafayette, body contouring procedures are versatile, customizable ways to address excess or sagging skin and give men firm, comfortable contours that accentuate their physique. Learn more by scheduling a consultation for male body contouring, so we can give you personalized care recommendations based on your needs and goals.
Calm Excessive Sweating With Ease
While Dysport® is most commonly used to reduce the visibility of dynamic wrinkles in the face, it can also be used for another condition: hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating. This treatment has been proven effective when used on the underarms, hands, and feet. If you suffer from excessive sweating, it can impact the way you go through life and affect your confidence and comfort. Men's Dysport® treatments can provide significant relief that lasts for months between treatments.
Refined Masculinity
This advanced treatment merges microneedling with radiofrequency (RF) energy to rejuvenate the skin. Ultra-fine needles create micro-channels, triggering collagen and elastin production, while RF energy amplifies the effects for enhanced results. Genius® is perfect for refining skin texture, smoothing wrinkles and fine lines, and reducing the appearance of scars.

Gender is an important consideration for plastic surgeons as they approach procedures for their patients. When a patient desires to look more masculine, it requires a different approach than when a patient seeks a more feminine beauty. Dr. McGee takes these factors into consideration before each surgery, so men coming in for plastic surgery procedures can feel confident that their results will enhance their appearance in a way that fits their gender aesthetic.
